Jay Phillips
Straight out of our nation's capitol, Jay Phillips would get his comedic break on local radio as the co-host of Baltimore's successful WXYZ morning show. Not long after, Jay would be voted Baltimore Magazines' Comedian of the Year in 2002. Between 2003 and 2006, Jay would become one of the top draws in the urban and college markets performing at over 100 colleges and universities during that time. The entertainment industry would have their first introduction to Jay by way of Laffapalooza and at the HBO Comedy Festival. Since that time Jay has slowly but steadily climbed the ladder of comedy success to become one of the hottest and most sought after comediennes around.
From his explosive and much talked about performance on HBO's Russell Simmons Def Comedy Jam, performances on The Late Late Show, Jimmy Kimmell Live, Weekends at the DL and Showtime’s Big Black Comedy Show to landing a leading role opposite Will Ferrell, Woody Harrelson and Andre 3000 in the upcoming New Line feature film SEMI PRO releasing February 29, 2008.
